ABOUT ME
I’m a Gold Coast–based psychologist and co-founder of The Lavarack Rooms. With over a decade of experience across forensic settings and private practice, I bring a deep understanding of how people think, feel, and cope through life’s more complex moments.
My therapeutic style is grounded, warm, and genuinely human. I aim to create a space where you feel understood and supported - a place where you can slow down, explore what’s happening beneath the surface, and make sense of the patterns shaping your wellbeing. The work we do is collaborative: I bring clinical expertise, and you bring your lived experience. Together, we build clarity, direction, and practical tools for meaningful change.
I have a particular interest in women’s health, including fertility, reproductive mental health, the transition into parenthood, and the emotional load tied to identity, relationships, and major life shifts. I also work extensively with trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, ADHD, and the deeper patterns that sit beneath these experiences.
Although I hold a forensic endorsement, this serves more as an added layer of clinical depth than a focus of my practice. It strengthens my ability to understand behaviour, context, and complexity with precision and nuance.
Ultimately, my aim is to help you understand yourself more deeply and support you in moving forward with steadiness, clarity, and confidence.

My approach is grounded in an attachment-based and trauma-informed framework. Together, we explore how early life experiences, relationships, and core beliefs may continue to shape the way you see yourself, relate to others, and navigate challenges today.
I believe that our current struggles often make sense when viewed in the context of our history. Therapy provides an opportunity to understand these patterns with curiosity and compassion, while developing new ways of responding that are more aligned with the life you want to create.
While the foundation of my work is relational and attachment-focused, I integrate a range of evidence-based approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. These include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed practice
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
Mindfulness-based approaches
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Somatic and nervous system regulation strategies
Strengths-based and person-centred approaches
I have also completed Weekend 1 training through the EMDR Institute and am undertaking further training toward full certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that can be particularly helpful for processing traumatic experiences, attachment wounds, and distressing life events.
